2024 Grand Transmission at the Manang Sacred Site, Nepal
Over more than three weeks, volunteers from over forty nearby villages came every day, rain or shine, to help prepare the venue of the Dharma gathering, Kunsang Lhundup Monastery. They restored the main hall, built the stage, prepared meals, arranged offerings, and took care of everything the gathering needed.
On the eve of the gathering, all the volunteers raised prayer flags together, and Lapchi Dorzin Dhondup Palden Rinpoche, vajra master of Drikung Lapchi, led the monastic community in a consecration ceremony. During the ceremony, an auspicious halo appeared around the sun, and everyone felt deeply blessed and joyful.
On the day before His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche arrived, the area had seen constant rain and a long power outage. Dorzin Rinpoche led the monks in the practice of Achi Chokyi Drolma, the Drikung Dharma protector, praying to dispel obstacles. Just as the practice was about to conclude, the power suddenly returned and the main hall was filled with light again. The monks all praised it as an auspicious sign.
